Presbyterian Minister, LGBTQ Activist and Educator

The Rev. M. Shea McGinnis (He/Him) is a transgender Presbyterian minister who works at the intersections of Faith, Sexualty, Gender, and Social Justice. He is an LGBTQ activist and educator, a faith organizer, and a preacher. Shea's work is multi-faceted, and he has won legislative victories in both faith-based and secular arenas over the past decade. He has served churches and organizations in Arkansas, Texas, Utah, Georgia, and Massachusetts. He was a Regional Coordinator on the ratification team for marriage equality in the PC (USA). In 2018, he was the Deputy Faith Organizing Director for the campaign to defend transgender rights in Massachusetts. For the past few years, he has moderated the Task Force for LGBTQIA+ Equity. He is currently advocating for abortion rights in his home state of Arkansas. He has a day-job in nonprofit data management, loves to cook and travel, and lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his dog, Culpepper.
